The ESR Virtual Teams meeting are a cycle of videoconferencing animated by the ESRs in turn. Every two weeks, an ESR will be able to present what he/she is working on, his/her last discovery, share a new technique he/she has learned, comment on a scientific article of interest. The purposes of these meetings are to promote the knowledge transfer between ESRs and to strengthen the links between them.
Today, Luca Baroni, the ESR 12 who is working in the computational System Neuroscience Group at Charles University (CUNI) in the Czech republic under Jan Antolik presents the topic of his research to other ESRs. After a short presentation of his laboratory, he explains the challenges he faces, and his work that focus on encoding properties of neurons in the primary visual cortex (V1). ESRs have the opportunity to ask questions to Luca at the end of the meeting.
