The project ENTRAIN-Vision network creates a comprehensive training on innovative therapies for visual restoration.
Our Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) will receive a wide multidisciplinary training to understand and manipulate the whole process from the manufacture to the end user application on the innovative technologies for restoring vision. The ENTRAIN-Vision consortium gathering the most advanced European academic laboratories and the most established international companies in the field will provide a unique environment to acquire all the skills necessary for thriving careers in a area that underpins innovative technological development across a range of diverse disciplines.
ENTRAIN VISION will provide an efficient and well-structured training process to deliver multidisciplinary and intersectoral trained researchers highly motivated to develop users-centered new approaches and technologies for restoring vision. This organization will be based on the following “3i” principles: international, inter-sectoral (academic research, clinical research, industrial application), and inter-disciplinary (gene transfer, electronic design, physiology, behavior, computational modeling…).
The training programme revolves around 3 three types of skills: Core Research Skills, Advanced Supplementary Skills and Transferable Skills. The training will be achieved by a unique combination of “hands-on” research training, non-academic placements, courses and workshops on scientific and complementary so-called “soft” skills facilitated by the academic-non-academic composition of the consortium.
